I pray that these words from Psalm 139 bring you all comfort.

1. O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

2. You know my sitting down and my rising up; you understand my thought afar off.

3. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

4. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.

5. You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.

6. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it.

7. Where can I go from Your Spirit?  Or where can I flee from Your presence?

8. If I ascend into heaven, You are there;

13. For You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb.

14. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

15. My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.  And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

17. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How great is the sum of them!  

18. If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

23. Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties;

24. And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting

You are in our hearts and prayers, We are connected by my father and Dan's Father and nothing in this world or the world to come can separate us, I Love you so much more than you realize!!

Your home was always a haven in Milwaukee and I such special memories of "Mr. Ackerman" and the "samples". He always made us akward teens feel welcome (you too Jean :)) He is missed, but ever remembered in my mind as the man who introduced me to lime green. Many hugs, Wendy (Goldstein)Rubinyi

Dear Daniel Lee Ackerman,

The Schroeder family will all miss you. We will miss your loving and caring heart, your sense of humor, and your great character. You were a great man, a great husband, a great father, and to Sarah and I, a wonderful grandfather. We love you and we miss you.

My sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Afflitto. May your memories of him bring you consolation. Former solders are not forgotten by God because he knows they have seen and done many things. They have quietly endured the memories of the horrors of war, pain, and suffering for many years. For some there has been worldly honors. For others none. However, our Heavenly Father will not forget the descendents of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dad . . .I'm driving your car.  It's pretty sweet, and I'm taking care of it . . . although I changed the music.  Hope that's okay.  Driving it makes me think you're still here.

Dan was one of the most kind loving men I have ever met. I only wish he could have met and known my children. I have so many wonderful memories of Dan while I was growing up. Dan had his father, Joe's capacity to love unconditionally. Jean, Beth and Sue please know my wife and family join me in sending love and condolences to you all. We may be separated by time and miles but nothing can separate the love we hold in our heart for you all !!!
