It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Joseph Bode, 76, on December 23rd, 2025. Born July 4th, 1949 in Lincoln, Illinois to Joseph & Rosemary Bode. He is survived by his children Danny, Jamie, and Bryce, all of Las Vegas; brother, Don (Jo) Bode of Freeburg, Illinois, niece, Liz Woertz, Quentin (Rachel) McKee, and Meghan (Tim) Heuring. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Bode, sister, Dianna Bode, nephew, John Bode, and niece, Jennifer Bode.
Dan graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967 and University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1971. He held several accounting positions at various casinos, including controller of MGM Grand. He was also owner of Dan's Royal Flush casino.
He served his community as president of the Boys & Girls Club, and was a long time member of Guardian Angel Cathedral of Las Vegas.
He was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved swimming, music, dancing, and helping the ones he knew and loved anyway he could.
Dan's legacy of humor, positivity, perseverance, and caring and loving nature will be carried on by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
