David Henry Georgia

Mr. David H. Georgia, O.P. of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on February 9th, 2026, at age 97. He was preceded in Death by his father David P. Georgia, mother Ruth Georgia, sister Dorothy Carrow, and nephew Chuckie Magill. He is survived by his nephew David (Vickki) Magill and niece Cynthia Martinez. David served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952, achieving the rank of staff sergeant.

He was a dedicated uncle to his nieces and nephews. David and his mother moved from Miami to Las Vegas in 1986. He worked as a civilian employee at Nellis Air Force Base for twenty years. He became a member of the Dominican Laity (Order of Preachers) in 1970 and was a founding member of the Dominican Laity of Las Vegas Fraternity of St. Bartolo Longo. He was known to many by devoutly attending daily mass over many years throughout the Las Vegas Valley. His bright youthful personality will be missed.

Viewing will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM on Feb 26, 2026, at Palms Mortuary at 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV. Funeral mass will be at 9:00 AM on Feb 27, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Center, 4765 Brussels St., Las Vegas, NV followed by interment at 10:45 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
