

Was born on June 30,1939 in St.James,MN.To Thomas and Mary (Smith)Wilson. He was the youngest of 7 children. He departed this life on November 7,2023.He passed peacefully in is sleep. In his long time residence in Las Vegas.David's first job was at Benz market,he was a box boy. He then worked as a kettleman at Phil Furkey roofing.David married Roxie Sams in 1961.Roxie had 2 children from a previous marriage. Betty and Michael. So he had an instant family.David and Roxie had 2 more daughters, Barbara and Michelle. The family lived in Chula vista til the summer of 1972,where they moved to Henderson, NV. David became a painter in Las Vegas. He worked as a maintenance painter at the Las Vegas convention center for 23 years.He met and married Lois LaMere in June of 1982.Lois had 7 children of her own.Shelley,Terri, Karen, Patti,Tim,Tony,and Barbie. David became a father figure to them.He loved fishing and looked forward to his yearly fishing trip. David attended church at the Desert Hills Baptist church. David enjoyed visiting his family and friends. Watching his favorite football team March in,the Saints. He was also a fan of our local teams.The Golden Knights and Aces.He smiled all the time while being in great pain.His niece called him the "Love Bandit ". David is survived by his oldest sister Norma Turner (Tiny).His 2 daughters Barbara Wilson and Michelle Welton. 9 bonus children and their spouses.Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. And several nieces and nephews.Proceeded in death by his mother, father, 5 siblings. Wife Lois Wilson, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A celebration of life ceremony will be announced at a later date.
