Deborah Ann Mickey, 41, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010. She was born Sept. 14, 1968, in Frankfurt, Germany, and resided in Las Vegas for 18 years. The highlight of Deborah's working years was the year she spent with The Candlelighters For Childhood Cancer. In addition to that rewarding position, Deborah worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Mickey. Deborah is survived by her husband, of 21 years, Jason; parents, Alex and Theresa Hernandez of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, Al, Donovan, Josef and Matthew; sisters, Mary, Valeska, Jessica and Christina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Interment will immediately follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
