Donald Robert Hansen Sr., 81, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on April 8, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Carl and Mary (McClun) Hansen. Donald served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was a 52-year resident of Las Vegas. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Mary Hansen; brother Bruce Hansen; and son Kevin Hansen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Hansen of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Virginia (Joe) Hudson of Happy Valley, Oregon; sons Donald Jr. and Carl of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also leaves behind granddaughter April (Phillip) Joy-Koer; grandson David Joy and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary (7400 W. Cheyenne Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada 89129) on Friday, April 11, 2014. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9:00 am at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary (7400 W. Cheyenne Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada 89129). Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Palm Eastern Cemetery (7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123).
