Eddie ,62, often referred to as “Good Little Eddie”, of Las Vegas, began his final journey home on November 24, 2018. He was born on May 2, 1956 to Edmond and Alicia Sause in Teaneck, NJ and was the 4th of 5 children. He attended high school at Paramus Catholic in Paramus, NJ. For 3 years Ed volunteered for the Teaneck Ambulance Corp. For a short time he worked in the Acme Grocery store. He was quite a free spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum when he decided to buy an Old Milk truck and convinced 3 friends to drive cross country all the way to Montana. He tried to settle down into school when he attended Colorado State University and decided after one semester he needed to go further west. He landed in Froid, MT and worked on a ranch. He then attended the University of Montana and decided the confines of University life didn’t fit with his wandering ways. He headed back to NJ and began driving a truck for Naplitanos Produce.
In 1985, the west was calling him again. He moved to Great Falls. He tried out jobs at Pizza Hut and then was a deli manager at County Market. He met his soul mate Linda Sebastian in 1986 and they married in 1992. County Market transferred him to Bozeman, MT where he lived for 14 years before moving to Las Vegas where he got to know the city by driving a taxi.
Ed was described by so many as a “gentle” soul. He was extremely giving and a very loving guy who was ever so thoughtful. His father-in-law lived with him and his wife for 4 years and Eddie was an amazing care giver tending to his every need. He had a kind spirit, patient, forgiving and always quick with a smile.
Eddie loved life and dabbled in many things…he enjoyed cooking and made great egg rolls and guacamole. He was a CSPAN junkie and loved to engage people in political conversation. In his later years Eddie and his wife Linda took great joy in raising and caring for their two pet cats, Charlie and Richie. He loved canoing, going for walks, roller skating, socializing, and snow skiing until he had one bad fall which resulted in two broken ankles. That was the end of his skiing career.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Linda; his two cats; his brothers, Frank Sause (Marion), John Sause (Cyndi) and his sister, Terry Stukey (Dave); 12 nieces and nephews; and 6 great nieces and nephews.
