

Edward DeWayne Mulick, 72, an 11-year resident of Henderson, passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2014, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital-Siena Campus, after a brief illness. He was born July 12, 1941, in Greenville, Mich., to Edward P. Mulick and Louise (nee Johnson) Mulick. Ed went to Michigan State University on an academic scholarship and as a walk-on, played two years of basketball. He began working at Absocold Corporation during his summers as a college student and eventually owned and ran the company located in Richmond, Ind. for the last 23 years. Ed purchased Econ Appliance in Las Vegas in 2001 and has served as a trustee for the Regenstrief Foundation, Indianapolis for many years. Ed's passion for work was equally shared with his passion for his family. Hobbies included watching sports, playing golf and showing Quarter horses. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; and sister, Mary Hansen. He is survived by wife, Connie; his teenage sons, Parker and Trenton; son, Al (Vicki) Mulick; daughters, Carrie (Nick) Kovach and Stephanie Mulick; siblings, Garry (Mary Lou) Mulick and Paula (Mike) Grinwis; and grandchildren, Marissa, Paige, Kelsey, Trevor, Landon, Gunner and Jagger. A memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Green Valley Presbyterian Church. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
