 To Guy in heaven, I just found out about your passing, and although it has been so any years that I have seen you i never forgot the special man that you were. We laughed everytime that i had the honor of being in your presence, watching you cook with your friends in the kichen was a true 'laugh-a-thon" that i can never forget. You, Susan and Marie were always held a special place in my heart.

When I think of Guy, I see a tall, handsome man with a winning smile.  I had four male cousins, and Guy was my favorite.

I was called Chubby when we were young and to this day he still called me Chubby.

I remember going to their house in Brooklyn and having to climb three flights of stairs which opened into the kitchen.  Off the kitchen there was a balcony which was an extension from the floor below.  I always thought it was neat, nobody else had one, and I wished we had one at our apartment.

He had many friends, and they would play stick ball in the street.  The sewer covers were the bases.  Most of his friends were Italian, and they spoke with a Brooklyn accent like the gang from "Saturday Night Fever,"  only they didn't dance!

He went into the Navy, and we were so proud of him.  He then married Marie and bought a house in Valley Stream.  They had two beautiful daughters, Cindy and Susan.  I would visit them with my daughter Livia, the girls were about the same age.

When I got married he filmed my wedding.  He did a great job!  I'm so happy that I have this film with so many of the family gone.

He later married Joann and moved to Vegas.  Once while working I won a trip there, and I called him.  He met me for lunch and gave me the grand tour of Las Vegas.  He took me to see the Hover Dam and his beautiful home.  Joann was working.  My only regret is that Nick and I never did get there.  He always would ask, When are you coming to visit us?"

He was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest.  He had a love of family, friends, food, and good times.  His love for food made him a good cook.

He will be missed by his family and friends.  I pray he is with all his family that have gone before him, free from pain, and that he will be waiting to greet us with a smile, happy to give us the grand tour!

God bless you Guy!  You will be in our hearts forever.

I remember  going to your house in Valley stream, from Brooklyn (I lived in the projects) thinking it was the country , it was so great . Had so much fun hanging our with Susan and cindy.

I was so blessed to have a dad who supported me, challenged me and loved me unconditionally.   When I was little and felt scared, he calmed me instantly just by picking me up and wrapping his arms around me.   I remember the  protective feeling of being held  by someone so big and strong.   Later in life, he gave me strength in so many other ways.   By his supportive words, his wise advice, and his encouragement to live life to the fullest.  He would say. "You want it, get it.  You  want to go, go. "  His approval meant everything to me.   

At times, he made me feel a bit inferior  because I was a female.  I always took that has a challenge.  A challenge to prove him wrong.    When I was challenged in life,  especially in my job, I felt equipped to do battle because he prepared me.  Thank you dad for challenging me. It made me a stronger person.
The last time I visited with him, we had a terrible argument.  The biggest one we ever had.  But now, I can't remember being angry at him.  All I can think of is his beautiful smiling face.   That's the way I'll always think of him .

Uncle Guy was my father's idol. So much so that when he was confirmed in the Catholic church, he chose Uncle Guy as his sponsor and adopted “Guy” as his middle name. He used the name proudly throughout his 41 years, especially in business…Robert G. Zecca. Sad as Uncle Guy's passing is, I know my dad “Bobby” was thrilled to be reunited with him.

I picture them all lined up to embrace him and welcome him Home… much like the countless gatherings they shared in this world when they were all young and healthy. I am certain the decibel level was deafening and there were many, many tears…the Zecca's were an emotional group after all. Passionate some might say, and Uncle Guy was certainly that. Always with that dazzling smile, he was as charismatic as he was compassionate and people were drawn to him. He was fun and flirty and full of playful mischief. I remember this clearly from a young child. You'd better be fast because if you weren't Uncle Guy would scoop you up and bite your belly! It was always a party when Uncle Guy was around.

Susan, Laurie, Cindy, Vic, Victoria and Joann, I know you are grieving, but I hope you find some comfort in all of your wonderful memories and those of your family and friends.

Guy is the father of my closest friends.  He was such a  "character" and I will remember him fondly.  Just the thought of him makes me smile.  I hold him dear to my heart.  Michele Quarato,

My Father was GUY… the guy everyone loved being around. He was a good man, extremely handsome, caring, warm and loving and a little stubborn and was always ready for fun ,jokes and laughs.
His smile would light up a room and when he looked at me nothing was better.

 He loved Joann and they had a wonderful life, I know he couldn't live with out her.

When my sister and I were children returning home from a visit to grams house in Brooklyn . We would conveniently fall asleep the exit before home…because I knew my strong father would pick me up and carry me up the long flight of stairs to my warm bedroom and kiss me goodnight. It felt so safe in his arms. 

His embrace will always remain in my heart, he will live inside me….

If he could feed you he was happy, food was love and the kitchen and the aroma of Italian food will always remind me of him and the love he had for his family and friends!

Charles, Candida, Bob, Helen, Bobby and Ronnie and many close friends  …your son your brother and your Uncle and your friend is coming home to God's house.

…I know you tried so hard to survive …. Rest in peace Daddy ..we all love you GUY!
