Hanh was born on Feb 16, 1947 in Kontum, Vietnam, to her parents Vo Gia Du and Ton Nu thi Thuan. She was the youngest sibling of three older brothers and two sisters: Vo Van Minh, Vo Gia Huy, Vo Gia Hien, Vo thi Dieu Hoa, and Vo thi Ngan Hao. She attended high school in Kontum and then St Paul High School in Saigon.
She met her husband Nguyen Thu Giao in 1967 in Kontum. They married a year later in 1968 and established their own pharmacy, Le Thanh Ton, that same year. Together they raised six children: Nguyen thi Thu Nhi, Nguyen thi Thu Lam, Nguyen Thu Ho, Nguyen Thu Trac, Nguyen Thu Luong, and Nguyen Thu Ngan.
Hanh left Vietnam in 1991 with her children and was reunited with her husband, after a long time of separation after the fall of Saigon. They settled in Modesto, CA, where Hanh and Giao established another pharmacy, Best Pharmacy, and worked together for many years until they retired in 2008. Hanh and her husband then moved to Henderson, NV that same year.
She was preceded in passing by her husband Giao in 2011.
Hanh enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren in Nevada and California. She loved cooking, reading, listening to Vietnamese music and travelling in the U.S. and places abroad, and going on many vacations with her family and friends. She is survived by her six children and her three brothers.
A visitation for Hanh will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
