Harry Garber, 93, of Las Vegas, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. He was born on December 24, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Lena Garber (nee Chernow) and was a resident of Las Vegas for the last 11 years. He was a distinguished World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps during the European campaign. Harry was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, the former Bernice Reif and is survived his daughter, Anita Beeten (nee Garber)of Las Vegas; son, Mitchell Garber of Lake Mary, FL; five grandchildren, Chad and Todd of Las Vegas, Shelly, Stephanie and Jared of Orlando Florida; and six great grandchildren, Ally, Mark, Tristan, Samantha, Sofia, and Connor He was a devoted and beloved father, grandfather, and “Pop Pop” who will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at King David Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Cemetery. King David Memorial Cemetery handled the arrangements.
