Helen Marie Doucette Rice, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 27, 2013. She was born Feb. 4, 1932, to George and Helen Doucette, in Milwaukee. She was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy and attended Mount Mary College and Marquette University. She was a long-time employee of the Irvine Unified School District. She was an avid tennis player and Packer fan. Helen will be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Geraldine Rice. Helen is survived by her three loving daughters, Jeanne (Tom) Saiza, Kathryn (Sal) Landi and Tracy (Wayne) Slater. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Lindsay, Kate, Shane, Claire and Nicholas. The family is asking that any donations be made to Safe Nest for Women in Las Vegas.
