Irene A. Carter

IRENE CARTER Irene Antonia Carter, 93, of Las Vegas, and formerly of San Bernardino, Calif., passed away in Las Vegas, Tuesday, April 23, 2013. She was born Jan. 17, 1920, the daughter of Joe Pina and Mary Setolo, in San Bernardino. Irene was married to David D. Carter of Las Vegas, and, prior to her marriage to David, to Thomas Painter of San Bernardino, both of whom passed on before her. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela M. Nicely and Pam's partner, Curtis Potts, of Gilbert and Phoenix, Ariz., respectively; her son, Thomas M. Painter and his wife, Carla Roncoli of Atlanta; and her grandson, Charles Butts and his partner, Emily Estes of Seattle. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, with services following, both at the Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Burial following, at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Irene loved, cared for, helped, and brought happiness to many during her lifetime. Those who knew and loved her are invited to send their condolences to Pamela Nicely, 275 W.
