Isabelita Z. Datu

Isabelita Z. Datu, 79 years of age, departed this earthly life on February 2, 2024, at Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican Hospital, San Martin Campus.

Lita was born on February 5, 1944, in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines to Jose and Virginia Zapanta. Her siblings are Africa, Erlinda, the late Oscar, Romy, Tony and the late Eric.

She married Feliciano Datu, who entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2018. Five children were born from their union: Fernando, Edwin (Natalia), Irma (Nicolas), Darwin (Almira) and Ira Lyn (Melvin). She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren: Lester, Daryllee, Owen, Maxine, Mikaela, Isabella, Nicole, Lindsay, Gabriel, Dominic and Caleb and great grandchildren fondly called as: AK, DK, Buenas, ZK. Happy, Alea and Potato.

She worked for several years in the Philippines as a Snack Bar Supervisor and eventually moved to Las Vegas in 2018. She worked at Subway as a Crew until she retired at the age of 72.

Lita loved spending time with her family and having a walk in the park with her friends – laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She also likes going to casinos to try her luck, playing cards with her sisters and watching Telenovelas.

Her memory of being a joyful, optimistic and compassionate person will always remain in the hearts of her loved ones.

A visitation for Isabelita will be held from 4-8pm on Friday, April 5, 2024. A rosary service will begin at 7pm, all at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113.

A funeral mass will begin on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89135.
