Jack Schifano, 83, of Henderson, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011. He was born Jan. 8, 1928 in Rochester, N.Y. and was a 20-year resident of Nevada. Jack served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World war II and was the retired owner/operator of an optical business. He is survived by his sons, William "Bill" Schifano of Las Vegas and Peter Schifano of Rochester; daughters-in-law, Ilsa Schifano of Rochester and Maria Schifano of Las Vegas; wife, Veronica Schifano of Las Vegas; sister, Vicky Zizzo of Las Vegas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12:30-1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, with services following both at 1 p.m., at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
