Jacqueline was born April 20, 1939 in Las Vegas to parents Leanna and Jack Price and siblings Kenneth, Jeanne and Patricia. Jacqueline was her birth name but she always went by "Jackie".
Jackie May was married to Larry May and they raised their three children in Las Vegas. Jackie and Larry May were married for over 55 years until Larry’s passing in 2012. Jackie was a homemaker, accountant and seamstress. She loved our Savior Jesus Christ and dedicated her time to teaching Bible classes, she held backyard Bible studies for kids in the neighborhood, and she taught children in Sunday school and Vacation Bible school. Until her passing, she regularly hosted friends over for a Women’s Bible Study.
Her Quilt Ministry was another way Jackie shared her love for the Lord and helped those with various illnesses and afflictions.
With her friends she started a quite impressive quilt-making ministry that was designed to give hurting people encouraging Bible verses on a homemade quilt. These quilts have ministered to over 650 people to date and a legacy of friends committed to continuing the ministry.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Larry May and daughter Cindy May.
She is survived by her son John; grandson Andrew (Aurora); great grandson Ari May; granddaughter Amber May; daughter Cathy Combs (Bobby); grandson Bobby Combs III (Liz); great granddaughter Mila Ray; grandson Bradley Combs; and great grandson Christopher.
A visitation will be held on February 1, 2019 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm; a funeral service will be held on February 2 at 1:00pm at the Palm Mortuary on Eastern and Robindale followed by a Fellowship at Green Valley Baptist Church on Valle Verde at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, Jackie would love donations to the Quilt Ministry at The Fellowship at MacDonald Ranch.
