

James Isaac Clark passed away on Saturday, January 5th, of natural causes. James was born November 17th, 1941, in Glens Falls, NY. He was a distinguished graduate of San Diego State University and received his Master’s degree from Arizona State. James and his wife Sharon Clark, who preceded his passing, shared their lives as high school sweethearts from Chula Vista High School, in San Diego. They then were in the United States Air Force where Sharon helped Jim achieved the rank of Colonel. James also served in the Vietnam War. After the military days, Jim continued his career as an engineer with two different companies. The majority of his post-service work was with the Parsons engineering firm out of Pasadena. He also worked for a couple of years with the Sodexo Company as a project manager. Toward the end of Jims’ life he became a care taker for numerous puppies through the Small Paws organization. These wonderful dogs became his life’s passion. He has fostered and rescued 4 different Bichon Frises named Duncan, Buddy, Sugar Bear, and Kirby and raised a beautiful Beddlington Terrier, George. James was the support and patriarch of an extended family. Surviving James are the families of his two sons and one daughter, Mark Clark and Rosalie, from the Philippines, Deborah Shick and Robert from Los Angeles, and Michael Clark and Amy from Las Vegas. There are 8 grandkids as well, Michela, Jake, Alan James, Christopher, Kyle, Mia, Ashley, and Michael Jr. Services for James will be held at 2 P.M. at Calico Basin at Red Springs in Las Vegas (Red Rock), Nevada on January 19th, 2012. Final Services will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California on Wednesday, January 30th at 1:30.
