James Thomas Morrissey

His family moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1965 where they lived until 1979 when they relocated to Bennett, Colorado. After graduating from Bennett High School, James was employed for 13 years at King Soopers. He married Tami Koop in 1983 and they had two children, Brittany and Thomas, before divorcing in 1989. He married Kara Harper on February 17, 1994.

James was employed by the Clark County Department of Aviation for 16 years until his retirement in 2014.

James was preceded in death by his father, Brian Thomas Morrissey.

He is survived by his wife Kara; his daughter Brittany Jones (Phillip); his son Thomas (Celia); his step-son Ed Munderloh (Jamie); his step-daughter Carley Munderloh; and eight step-grandchildren. He also is survived by his mother Carol; his brothers Patrick (Joanne), Dennis (Amber) and Christopher; his sister Theresa Gordon; nines nieces and nephews as well as numerous aunts, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 9, 2015 from 3:00-6:00pm at Sunset Gardens on 3931 E. Sunset Rd.
