James Rodman O'Dell, 73, a retired warehouse supervisor, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 23, 2011. He was born May 4, 1938, in Chicago, and was an 11-year resident of Nevada. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Las Vegas Prime Timers. James was preceded in death by his brother, Fred O'Dell. James is survived by his domestic partner, of 30 years, Terry Smithers; son, Rodman (Christine) O'Dell; granddaughters, Skylar O'Dell; sister, Rita Navigalo; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation noon-1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
