James Leving Taylor, Esq., of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at University Medical Center, in Las Vegas, at the age of 57. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Jeannette Graves; and his father, U.S. Air Force Retired Lt. Col. James William Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Ting Qian Taylor; sons, Chase Taylor (23) and James Taylor (20); and his stepdaughter, Dr. Robyn Donaldson.
Jim was born May 25, 1955, in Denver, and attended UNLV. He earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law in 1980. He served as deputy district attorney for Clark County from 1981-1995, and as assistant general counsel of the Las Vegas Water District from 1997-2012.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
