Jason was born May 12, 1969 at Letterman General Hospital on the Presidio in San Francisco, California. He was a month premature and weighed only 4 lbs. He spent the first 33 days in an incubator, building an appetite that haunted him for the rest of his life. He loved food. Jason was raised by his mother, the two of them moving from the San Fernando Valley in California to Anchorage, Alaska in 1980. Jason loved the Alaskan summers and hated the winters. In 1996, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he lived until his death from a pulmonary embolism on October 7, 2018. Jason worked in the food and beverage industry while living in Alaska. After settling in Las Vegas, he went to work for Breyers Good Humor, now a division of Unilever. He enjoyed the work that he did and the people who he worked with. Jason had a wicked sense of humor and was short on patience. Most people don't know that his IQ was in the Mensa range. His response to that was always that he was at "the stupid end of the Mensa scale." Typical Jason.
Jason is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Reynolds; his aunt and uncle, Kathie and Ed Estey; his uncle and aunt, Ken and Judy Reynolds; and six cousins.
Jason will be missed by all of his friends and family.
Per Jason's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Paralyzed Veterans of America would be appreciated.
