Jerrold John Paul Russell

With heavy hearts and boundless love, we mourn the passing of our beloved Jerrold Russell, affectionately known as "Jerry." Jerry was born on April 29, 1983, and from the moment he entered this world, he graced us with a smile that never faded. His smile, infectious laughter, and warmth brought light into every room he entered. Jerry lived his life with a spirit of wonder and joy, seeing every person, every moment, and every thought as a miracle. His heart was big, and his love for everyone was boundless. Jerry's faith was always an important part of his life. He was a member of Chabad of Southern Nevada, even before his Bar Mitzvah, and his deep connection to his spirituality never wavered. In fact, Jerry’s plan was planning to go to temple for Shabbos, but on the morning of August 30, 2025, Jerry did not attend as planned. Jerry passed away peacefully at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A cherished part of Jerry’s life was his involvement with Friendship Circle of Las Vegas. Through this wonderful community, Jerry found not only friendship but also a deep sense of belonging. It was here that he discovered that he was not alone, he was loved, he was accepted, and he was celebrated for exactly who he was.

For over 20 years, Jerry was a beloved member of the Mojave Mental Health family. Mojave became a safe, nurturing space where Jerry could continue to grow and thrive. Jerry's heart was full of life, and he taught all of us what it meant to truly embrace each moment with love, kindness, and gratitude. He has touched the lives of so many and leaves behind a legacy of love and light. Jerry, we love you more than words can say. This is not goodbye; it is simply "until later." You will forever live on in our hearts, and your spirit will continue to guide us.

A graveside service for Jerrold will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at External Service Location, 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120.
