John Michael George, 38, passed away on July 20, 2025 in Doreen, Australia.
Born on May 3, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, John lived a life defined by service, strength, and unwavering loyalty. A U.S. Army Ranger and later a firefighter in Victoria, Australia, John dedicated himself to protecting others – on battlefields, in communities, and in the hearts of all who knew him.
John is survived by his life partner, Kylie Houghton, and their two beloved children, Natalie and William. He is the cherished son of Michael and Deborah George, and brother to Jennifer George, Reia Zimmer, Matthew George, and Paul George. He is also remembered with love by his sisters-in-law, Melissa George and Jessica George; and by his nieces and nephews, Tessa Zimmer, Abigail George, Cadence George, Trever George, Grayson George, and Mason George.
To those who knew him, John was the embodiment of toughness, determination, and loyalty – but beneath his armor was a deeply caring soul. He was a steady presence, a protector, and a source of quiet strength for his family, friends, and fellow servicemembers.
His courage lives on in every life he has touched.
