

John Gerard Healy, 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Jan. 3, 2012 at his home. John was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand, Oct. 16, 1940. John moved his family to the United States in 1970, to take a position with Jaycee's International. He worked as the convention manager for Rotary International from 1980 to 1986. John then moved to Las Vegas and continued working in the meeting planning/convention and trade show industries. He has lived in the Las Vegas/Henderson area for the last 25 years. He was a rugby and American football fan and an avid golfer. John was preceded in death by his father, Clement; his mother, Jesse Bowie; his older brother, Murray; and his son, Bruce. John is survived by his beloved partner, Dorothy Coroneos; his brother, Michael (wife, Pat); daughter, Sharron; several nieces, grandnieces and grand-nephews; and his much-loved cats, Boots, Soks and Sandy. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Memorial donations can be made to the . John was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
