John W. Orser passed away peacefully in his home May 20, 2017 from End Stage Parkinson Disease. He was born in Colgate, North Dakota on February 8, 1935 to Anna and Loyd Orser and was a 47-year resident of Las Vegas.
John served in the Air Force for four years where he became an aircraft mechanic. He worked many years for TWA Airlines and later for EG&G which he retired from in 2000.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He liked to keep busy if he wasn't working in his garden or his garage; he might be out on a horseback ride or riding his 10-speed around the block! He also had a Yamaha he liked to ride and most of all his John Deere Tractor. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. John had a teasing sense of humor that always brought laughter.
He will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Helen and his brothers Vern and Loyd. He is survived by his daughters Kathy Beall and Debra Orser; grandchildren Jessica, Stephen and Judy; great-grandchildren Avery, Aubrey, Athena and Stephen of Las Vegas; sisters Shirley Endersbee and Carol Sorum of Moorhead, MN; and brother David Orser of Green Valley, AZ.
