Juanito (Jerry) Ramos De Los Reyes, 84, teed off for his final round on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Born June 24, 1940, in Santo Tomas, Batangas, Philippines to Felix and Juana De Los Reyes. Jerry’s early days were spent in the great outdoors of the Philippines, where his favorite companion and caddy was an albino water buffalo named Lucy.
At 19, Jerry swung with courage and moved to the United States and joined the US Air Force in Washington DC, proudly serving for four years. He later settled in Reno before finding his forever home in Las Vegas, where he resided for over 60 years.
Jerry was welcomed to Heaven by his loving wife, Teresita; his parents Felix and Juana De Los Reyes; his sisters Rosalinda De Los Reyes Rosario and Nenita De Los Reyes Rifareal; and his brother Rolando De Los Reyes; who no doubt had a front-row seat waiting for him. He is survived by his children Leilani (Lance) Bradford, Nicole (Tom) Nolan, Gary (Ailsa) Manzano, Melinda Oldroyd, and Walter Willis; his grandchildren Alexis, Luke, and Ashlee Bradford; AbiGail and Murray Manzano; and Zoey Cambley-Willis; his brother Ed De Los Reyes of the Philippines; several nieces and nephews; and one of his greatest fans Erlinda Crisologo.
Jerry crushed it in the casino industry at the Dunes Hotel and Mirage Casino, where he rose through the ranks from 21 dealer to pit boss to floor casino manager, retiring in 2008. A man as smooth as his putting stroke, he was always dressed to the tees and loved dealing with people. His smile was as bright as the Vegas lights and he always treated everyone like family.
Off the clock, Jerry could often be found on the fairways, swinging alongside his Filipino golf buddies. His legendary golf achievements were sinking a Hole-in-One on March 17, 1986, at the Las Vegas Muni Golf Course’s 17th hole, then again on the 3rd hole several years later.
