Judy Laxmeter (nee Friedlander), 67, a retired registered nurse, of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a Southern Nevada resident since 2011. She was a life member of Hadassah who spent her life caring for others. She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Michael Laxmeter; daughter, Miriam (Carlos) Hernandez of Eagan, MN; two sons, Joel (Nicole) of West Hollywood, CA and Eli (Andrea) of Bergenfield, NJ; sister, Roseanne (Bernard) DeKoven of Indianapolis, IN; brother, David (Pat) Friedlander of Gorham, ME; and four grandchildren, Mark, Adrian, Mariana and Carlos.. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at King David Memorial Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. The family request that memorial donations be made to Young Israel/Aish of Las Vegas, 9590 W. Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89117. King David Memorial Chapel made the arrangements.
