

JUDY PATTON Judy "Mom-o" Patton, 80, a cherished resident of Las Vegas for over 65 years, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in her beloved city. Born on February 8, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, Judy held a special place in the heart of Las Vegas, contributing to its vibrant history. She embodied the spirit of "Old-School Vegas," a living link to the town's evolving story. Judy had an unwavering affection for animals and children, reciprocated by the deep fondness they held for her. For years, she graced the halls of CCSD as a devoted teacher's assistant, uplifting the lives of children with special needs. Her impact on their lives was immeasurable, leaving an indelible mark of care and encouragement. A fervent Dodgers enthusiast, Judy's loyalty spanned their journey from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, which paralleled her own family's move from New York in the 1950's. Her dedication to her team mirrored her broader outlook on life a blend of wisdom, humor, passion, and boundless kindness. Judy was the steady anchor of her family, a source of strength for everyone she talked to. Judy's legacy transcends her physical presence, living on in the hearts of all she touched. She is survived by her loving children: Tony (Denise) Patton and Jodi Patton; her cherished grandchildren: India-Rose Hill, Zoe Patton, Clara, Elissa, Sophie, and Nora Stewart; and her adored great-granddaughter, Camille Marin. Her surviving siblings, Tony and Bobby Lloyd, and Doe Armentrout, also mourn her passing. Plans for a memorial gathering in Las Vegas are underway and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy's honor are kindly requested to support the Las Vegas Humane Society, a cause close to her compassionate heart.
