Retired Colonel Kenneth Bertram Black, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away on June 22, 2015. Ken was born in Boise, Idaho on October 4, 1922, to the late William and Ruth Black. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Black; brother, William Black, Jr.; sister, Joan Keene; and grandmother, Lola Gill. He is survived by his children, Maria Barth, Kenneth (Kathi) Black, Jr. and Paul (Anne) Black; grandchildren, Jennifer Robillard, Danielle Cardona, Heather Alwardt, Jessie Wilson, Kevin Black and Keith Black; and great-grandchildren, Jake and Rocco Cardona, Grace, Sophie and Faith Alwardt, and Liam Wilson. Visitation will be held from 3pm – 7pm on Thursday June 25, 2015, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123. Graveside service will be at 12pm on Friday June 26, 2015 at Southern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetery at 1900 Veteran Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005.
