Kevin Michael Geary

Kevin Michael Geary passed unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the age of 30. He was born on June 15, 1989, to Michael and Tammy Geary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kevin was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas.

He graduated from Green Valley High School, attended Colorado Mesa University on a soccer scholarship, and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Kevin was a member of the Las Vegas Premier Soccer Club’s ‘89 team and won five state championships. His masterful goalkeeping skills led him to a contract as one of the original members on the Las Vegas Legends of the Professional Arena Soccer League.

In his early working years, Kevin owned Uncharted Clothing and was a personal trainer for 24 Hour Fitness. He later followed in his father’s, grandfather’s and uncle’s footsteps as a third-generation adman, working at The Geary Company, R&R Partners, at Top Golf as part of the original marketing team and, most recently, with BRAINTRUST as a Senior Media Planner.

Kevin was a devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He was the light of the room, and people gravitated toward him because of his infectious personality and welcoming smile. He stood tall at 6’4”, but most of all he had a big heart and would do anything to help someone out.

He passionately supported the Manchester United Football Club, the UNLV Rebels and the Vegas Golden Knights. The beach and the ocean were places he loved to be with his family and friends including many Southern California and Hawaii trips. He was a “wild one” and lived life full-on. He bungee jumped from a bridge, sky dived over Kauai, and enjoyed the open road on his motorcycle.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Mike and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother Tammy; sister Kim; niece Scarlett; many uncles, aunts, cousins and many, many friends.

What did Kevin teach us? Like his dad, to be kind, be a friend and remember to have fun.
