Kodie Ann Spleen, 53, of Las Vegas, passed away March 31, 2013. Kodie was the cherished wife of Joseph Spleen, loving mother of Sheria Spleen, devoted sister to Dana Yelverton, Stephen Hodges and Bonnie Dye, and loyal daughter-in-law to Lee Spleen. Kodie came to Las Vegas from Salt Lake City as a toddler. Through the years, Kodie worked in several local family and fine dining restaurants. She was loved for her bright personality and charm by her regular customers and she touched the hearts of everyone she met. Gardening was soup for Kodie's soul, and she enjoyed planting many varieties of flowers, fruits and vegetables each season. She took pride in her garden, especially her tomatoes and shared the harvest with her friends and family. Kodie not only nurtured her garden, but she cared for her family and friends by always putting their needs above her own. Kodie appreciated the beauty in everything including the special bond with her brother, sisters and brothers-in-law, watching her nieces and nephews and their kids grow up, hummingbirds in the backyard, the sound of waves crashing on vacation, tulips in spring, decorating and baking at Christmastime and so much more. While Kodie left us far too soon, her strong and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of so many. Her celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
