Labernie Canida Umali

Labernie “Bernie” Canida Umali, 85 of Henderson, NV passed away on June 13, 2025. Labernie Canida Umali was born on December 16, 1939, in Philippines to Alejandro Umali and Magdalena Canida-Umali. He died Friday, June 13,2025 surrounded by his loving family. Bernie loved to play slot machines at the local casinos. He was funny and enjoyed visiting his relatives in the Philippines on an annual basis. Bernie was an exceptional man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and he will be greatly missed.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Larry Mason Umali.

Bernie is survived by his wife, Rebecca Mason Umali of Henderson, NV; daughters, Richelle Bernadette Turner & Redina Shoemaker; sons, Marco Mason Umali & Bernard Mason Umali; granddaughters, Berna Angela Umali-Hernandez, Vina Joyce Munoz, Debbie Umali & Marjorie Umali; grandsons, Reddenmar Munoz, Richard Jayson Umali & Mark Joseph Umali, and his pet dog, Zoey Turner.

The family will hold a private ceremony of remains. We will always carry his memory in our hearts, and he will be forever missed. The Umali Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who had reached out.
