It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leona C. Austria on December 20, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born on December 28, 1946 in Hawaii and a resident of Henderson, Nevada. Leona was a loving mother, stepmother, sister, and grandmother. A beautiful soul who would help anyone. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and her beloved dogs. Leona was known for her strong will and unwavering determination, love and support for her family.
Although Leona is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her son John Pestka, daughter-in-law Bree, stepchildren Alma, Ruben Jr. , Danilo, Annabel, Alexander, Arthur, and Angelo Austria, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Jacquelyn Garretson, brother Myron Joseph Ching, deceased brothers Leonard Jr and Warren Keith, and several loving nieces , nephews and cousins.
A memorial service for Leona will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
