Leonard “Lenny” Eugene Scrivner, husband, proud father, grandfather, nephew and friend passed suddenly on October 22, 2014. He was born on December 31, 1945 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Norman and Loretta Scrivner.
He graduated from Basic High School in Henderson, Nevada in 1963 then went on to serve in the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Millwright Union Local 1827 and loved his craft.
Lenny loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He was a huge sports fan and would watch any kind on TV. His favorite sport to watch was college basketball and loved his football teams the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49’ers.
He is preceded in death by parents Norman and Loretta; and daughter Gwen.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Joan Scrivner; son Scott (Lori) Scrivner; daughters Lisa (Kimble) Dutton, Valerie Lane, and Ashley Czanstke; Aunt Faye Loving; and many cousins. He had seven granddaughters; two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.
The Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held on November 13, 2014, at 12:40pm at Southern Nevada Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran’s Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
