

Louis W. Marek II, 83, famed entertainer and talent agent, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, surrounded by his family.
He was the longtime bandleader of the Rainbow Express Show, traveling nationwide and overseas throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including a USO tour. As a talent agent in the 1980s, he brought national acts to Las Vegas, supplying entertainment for lounges and showrooms on the Las Vegas Strip and in Laughlin. In 1990, he founded Las Vegas Entertainment Productions (LVEP), a full-service event company that continues to serve major corporations and sports organizations in the valley.
Originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, Lou had been a Las Vegas resident since 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Marek; his sons, Rhett (Kelli) Marek, Mark (Michelle) Guyot, and Shawn Marek of Kansas; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren., brothers, John (Denver), Mark (Overland Park), Sister, Carol (St Joe), all of whom he cherished deeply.
He was preceded in death by his son, Trey Marek; and his parents, Louis W. Marek I and Helen Marek.
Visitation and memorial service will be held April 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Palm Mortuary – Eastern, Las Vegas
