Louis Gregory Rappaport, 102, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1915 in Detroit, MI to Barney and Becky Rappaport. Louis played a number of different sports during his years at Scott High School in Toledo, Oh. He then continued his love of sports while attending Arizona State University on a full football scholarship. During World War II, Louis joined the Army Air Corp earning many medals, until his honorable discharge in 1946. A few months later he would meet Ann, the love of his life, and married her on September 27, 1947. In June of 1951 they would welcome there only child, Barry, into the world. The two would remain at each other’s side until Ann’s passing in April 2011. Louis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother Sam and sisters Eva Freidman, Lena Hayman and Sally Wexler. He is survived by his son Barry (Kimberlee) Rappaport and grandsons Nathan and Michael Rappaport. A Funeral Service will be held at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 9:00 AM. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
