Luis is survived by his two children Neil and Cristine, his grandchildren, Noah and Benjamin, and his siblings Tina Lyon, Jim Bada, Neric Bada, Carmelita Villamor, and Marita Bada. Luis was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who always showed kindness, support, and generosity to those around him.
Luis was born in Cabangan Zambales, Philippines to Luis and Pilar Bada. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines. Soon after graduation, he got his first job with Johnson & Johnson and became a Certified Public Accountant. With over thirty years of experience as an Accounting professional, Luis retired as an Auditor after 12 and a half years of service for the State of Nevada Department of Taxations.
Even though Luis had a demanding career, he had so much energy, always young at heart and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He enjoyed bowling, watching tennis matches, and golf tournaments. He loved singing karaoke at family gatherings and cooking his favorite dishes. He was sarcastic, yet charming at the same time. He was a giver of unsolicited wisdom, always willing to provide a unique perspective on life or give you another angle to look at something. Luis had a way of knowing what you needed to hear and knowing just how to talk to you to gain a better understanding of almost any topic.
Luis was a great father, provider, confidant, and friend to many, and he will forever be remembered and honored by his family and close friends.
In honor of Luis Bada Jr., his family is holding an intimate memorial and Celebration of Life on January 16, 2022, for close family and friends.
