Manuel, or “Manny” as most knew him, was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1985. He was raised by his mother, Francisca Borunda, alongside his older sister, Ivonne. From an early age, Manny was full of energy and ambition. Though school wasn’t his favorite, he was always determined to learn something useful—he had big dreams of buying his mom a house and filling his life with adventure and “toys.”
Manny had a deep love for adventure. Whether it was the ocean, lakes, mountains or any trip, he was always ready to hit the road and immerse himself in it all. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his big heart. He also loved to dance and laugh and his laugh was unmatched!
Throughout his 40 years of life, Manny made countless friends and acquaintances. No matter where life took him, his family remained his anchor. His mom, his "Jefita" was the center of his world, and he held his sister, nieces, nephews, and extended family close to his heart. Among loved ones, he was affectionately known as “Chavi,” and they all knew that no matter the situation, he’d be there in a heartbeat if they needed him.
Manny was tall, loving, and endlessly charismatic, a truly larger-than-life presence. If you met him once, you remembered him forever. Loud, full of life, and always moving, he had a way of lighting up any room with his energy and laughter.
The world lost a genuine soul with Manny’s passing, but his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will never be forgotten.
