She was born in San Marcelino Zambales, Philippines April 17, 1949 where she grew up with her two brothers and six sisters. Just like most of her siblings who were gifted with music and the arts, she had a beautiful voice and she used to sing at CPO US Naval Base Subic Bay in Olongapo City, Philippines where she worked and met the love of her life, Louis Geno, who was in the US Navy. Primarily a California resident after leaving the Philippines in 1979, she lived in San Diego then Lemoore before she settled in Las Vegas in 1999 with her family.
She leaves her daughter Anna and husband Dino; son Louie; son Michael and wife Mariel; sons-in-law Bayani and Allen; and nine grandchildren: Aleck, Roy, Dereck, Nikolas, Noah, Victoria, Gianna, Julian, and little Mikey Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Geno in 2011 with whom she was married for thirty-one years and her daughter, Angie in 2017 who died at age 42.
“Mama Faye,” as she was known by her co-workers at Wal-Mart, where she worked part-time for thirteen years enjoying making party platters until she fully retired in 2018, was a nickname that came easily for her. Always ready to give advice or a hug, Mariana or Mama Faye had a way with making people feel like family. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. While she fell in love with K-Drama, she also cherished spending time with her family near or far, over a phone call or chatting online. For those who knew her well, they would say she made the best pancit and lumpia.
