Marlene Katz, 80, a homemaker and retired women’s apparel sales associate, of Las Vegas, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014. She was born on August 20, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Ted and Doris Noble. She is survived by Byron Katz, her husband of 28 years; three daughters, Michele Catain of Las Vegas, Jody Katz of Los Angeles, CA, and Leslie Katz of Albany, CA; son, Michael Catain of Duluth, MN; two sisters, Florence (Sol) Catain of Las Vegas, NV and Sybil (Dick) Israel of Beverly Hills, CA; three grandchildren, Michael Jr, Nick and Todd (Chriss); and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Riley, Alexis, and Reagan. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Groman Eden Mortuary in Mission Hills, CA. Burial will follow at Eden Memorial Park. Memorial services will follow in Las Vegas at a later date. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
