

Mary Jane Galuppi, 85, of Las Vegas NV, passed away peacefully Thursday August 30 with her loving family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was born April 8, 1933 in Syracuse, NY the only child of Edmond Petrone and Genevieve Gianquitti. After many years of cooking in their family owned business, Galuppi’s Café in Syracuse NY, she also was a cook in Florida before moving to Las Vegas NV. She was an amazing cook and always received rave reviews. Mary Jane's passions were spending time with family and friends, she so enjoyed concerts, dancing, crocheting, dominos and bingo. Mary Jane was a devoted Catholic all her life and found much comfort in her faith, going to the Vatican was one of her life's greatest moments. Mary Jane was adored by everyone she met, from a brief encounter to a lifelong friendship her caring and compassionate nature was filled with love for all. She was preceded by her husband of 53 years Anthony A Galuppi and her daughter Louise. Mary Jane is survived by her children, Michelle (Sam) Atiyeh, Angela (Gene) McGuire and her granddaughter with whom she lived Danielle (Farid) Gadimov as well as six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several extended family members and friends. Friends and family are invited to call from 4-7PM Sunday, September 9, 2018 with Rosary being said at 6:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113. Funeral Service will be 10AM on Monday, September 10 at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89135 with burial to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
