Melva "Sis" Barker, 68, of Henderson, passed away April 9, 2010. She was born Dec. 11, 1941, in Detroit, and was a resident of Nevada since 1998. She retired from the shipping/receiving department of Target Corporation. Melva was preceded in death by her mother, Datha C. Ely; brother, Paul "Punkin" Ely; and daughter, Joyce Houghton. Melva is survived by her daughter, Sherry Adams of Las Vegas. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
