Mel was born on September 7, 1948, in Queens, NY to Paula (nee Frankel) and Daniel Weinberg and lived in Las Vegas since 2004. He is predeceased by his parents and survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Leslie (nee Ackroff); two daughters, Rachel Taylor (Alan) and Rebecca Weinberg-Doptis (Eric); and two brothers, Matt Weinberg (Deborah) and Raymond Weinberg (Theresa). Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV. Family request the memorial donations in Mel’s memory be sent to Three Square or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
