Mike was born on July 15, 1954 in Waukegan, Illinois and lived in the area until 2000 when he relocated to Nevada with his wife and children. In Waukegan, he attended Warren Township High School, where he played football as a quarterback. He then began his career as a skilled carpenter building homes, including his family home. After moving to Nevada, he worked as a bartender at Primm Valley Resort in Jean, Nevada for 18 years.
Mike is remembered as a beloved father, brother, uncle, friend and coworker.
He survived by his two children, Ashley and Michael John Espinoza; his siblings, Mary James, Richard Espinoza, Micaela Burel, John Espinoza Jr., Charles Espinoza, Arthur Espinoza, Susan Johnson, David Espinoza, and Laura Perrine; and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Espinoza; his mother, Esther Espinoza; his nephew, Sean Espinoza; and his brother-in-law, Phillip Burel.
A visitation and reception for Mike will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
