Michael Henry Hampe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Henry Hampe. Mick departed this life on October 14, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on July 22, 1948, Mick lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his love for family and passion for cars.

Mick was a devoted husband to Jill Hampe, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. He was a proud and loving father to his children, son Anthony Hampe and daughter Ashlee Coppus. Michael welcomed Ashlee’s husband, Brian Coppus, and Anthony's wife Jonie into the family with open arms, treasuring their close bond.

A car enthusiast through and through, Mick found great joy in both the mechanical and aesthetic beauty of automobiles. He spent countless hours under the hood, tinkering and restoring cars, passing his knowledge and passion down to his children and friends.

Mick’s legacy lives on in the memories he created with his family and friends, his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love for those close to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, Jill; his son, Anthony; his daughter, Ashlee; and his grandchildren.

A private service will be held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Mick’s memory.

Rest in peace, Mick. Your love, laughter, and passion will never be forgotten.
