Mireya A Marazzi

Mireya A. Marazzi, beloved mother, peacefully entered her heavenly home in the early morning hours on June 8, 2023 at age 101 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on September 19, 1921. Mireya was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church, who conscientiously prayed the rosary every day.

She was a very generous and kind-hearted person who financially helped many relatives and “adopted” relatives during her lifetime. Her home was always open to all. She worked as a Certified Public Accountant for many years in Costa Rica. In 1963 she immigrated to the United States with her husband Fred and three daughters, settling in the Los Angeles area. Her mother and father, and several brothers and sisters followed her to the United States, where they spent some of their time in Los Angeles and some back in Costa Rica. Mireya enjoyed traveling, including several trips to Europe.

In 1992, Mireya and Fred moved to Las Vegas, along with two daughters, to pursue other work and life opportunities. Her eldest daughter soon followed, and various grandchildren moved to Las Vegas, as well. Family was very important to Mireya and she has left a lasting legacy of caring and generosity through her descendants. She will be greatly missed by the entire family.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Hannia Marazzi, living in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Patricia Naparty and Bellorita Brenes, both living in Henderson, Nevada; as well as ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Fred Marazzi, also of Costa Rica, and her parents Maximino and Claudia Acuna, and six brothers and sisters of whom Mireya was the eldest.

A visitation for Mireya will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
