

Patricia "Patty" Ann Hornbuckle, a 14-year resident of Henderson, Nevada and a native of Connecticut passed away peacefully at Nathan Adelson Hospice on Wednesday July 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Patty was born on September 7, 1936 in Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, Connecticut to Leah and Ed Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her two children Tracy Marshall of South Windsor Connecticut and William Hornbuckle of Henderson and her four granddaughters, Lindsey Hornbuckle, Paige Marshall, Sara Hornbuckle and Samantha Marshall and her one step-grandson Kristopher Smith Reichartz. In addition she leaves a daughter-in-law Wendy Hornbuckle and a son-in-law Michael Marshall along with Uncle Bob and Aunt Joan and Sister by Heart and Cousin Karen Palmer. Patty was attending Grace New Haven School of Nursing at Yale University when she met her love and husband Bill of 49 years. Shortly thereafter she joined him in Tokyo, Japan where they spent the better part of 14 years in the Air Force in service of our country before settling down in Connecticut. She became a Registered Nurse working throughout the medical profession in the Greater Hartford area and subsequently became a Medical Underwriter for the Atena in the later part of her career. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas in her honor. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday July 8, 2013 at the Palm Mortuary on Eastern Ave. Burial will be a private service at the Veterans Memorial where she will rejoin her beloved husband forever.Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
