

Patrick Frank Tiso, 68, of Las Vegas, passed away May 12, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in New York, November 3, 1944 to Anthony and Adelade Tiso. Pat grew up in Elmont playing baseball, fixing cars, and riding bikes with his two brothers Anthony and Buster.
After high school and trade school, Pat met the love of his life in a candy store in Cambria Heights, Queens. He married Lea Licata in 1966 and they resided in Queens until Pat was drafted into the United States Army, where he served for two years in Germany with the Military Police.
Upon his discharge from active duty, Pat and Lea moved to Long Island, New York after their first child, Jason, was born. During his 20 years of service with the New York Police Department, their daughter Kristie was born.
Pat enjoyed and participated in many interests. He loved horse racing, bowling, watching movies and television, throwing darts, playing softball, and had a special love for construction. After retiring from the NYPD, he ventured out to Las Vegas and became a security officer for the Mandalay Bay Hotel. In Las Vegas, he enjoyed gambling, golf, horse racing, travel and all the Las Vegas events.
Memorial services will be held at Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. He will be laid to rest privately at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City Nevada at a later date.
