Phyllis DeMarco Censi, passed away on July 9, 2020. She had just celebrated her 95th birthday on July 2, 2020. Although Phyllis spent most of her life in Brooklyn, New York, she made Las Vegas her home 37 years ago. She is survived by her Grandchildren: Denise DeMarco of Queen Creek, AZ., Laurie Durham and her husband Patrick of Deerfield Beach, FL., Larry DeMarco and his wife Debbie of Orlando, FL., and Gina DeMarco of Las Vegas. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Mia Durham and Alessia DeMarco.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Rocco DeMarco, and Salvatore Censi along with her sons: Sam “Sammy” DeMarco and Angelo “Butch” DeMarco. As heavy as our hearts are, we know she is in her happy place to be with her sons, once again.
Friends and family will always remember Phyllis as one AMAZING Italian cook! Her specialties included: Eggplant, Lasagne and her delicious Sunday Sauce! But her grandkids would tell you that nobody made better Pancakes or Tapioca Pudding like their very fun Grandma. Phyllis loved to have a good time and you could always find her enjoying herself dancing or playing poker! The best part about being around Phyllis is that she would always make you laugh, which is what we will all miss the most about her.
Services will be on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:00 pm followed by the placing of the casket in her final resting place at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
