Ramona Elmira Konrad of Henderson, Nevada, went to heaven, November 22, 2018 at her home. She was born November 1, 1928 in Pasadena, California to Reverend Elmer Gandy and Loretta Hobson Gandy. She found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of 19, when she married Arthur Konrad of New York City, recently discharged from the US Army, on the campus of Pasadena College* where her parents had been teaching.
Ramona gave birth to a son, Arthur and a daughter, Barbara, which in turn produced three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. Ramona continued with her education, receiving a Bachelors of Education and becoming an elementary school teacher and supporting her husband’s career as a college educator and administrator.
She enjoyed social dancing and as a result she launched a late in life career as a dance instructor with her husband that led to over two hundred cruises for various cruise lines over a 20-year period.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur; her son, Arthur; her daughter, Barbara; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
